Oleg Cholovskii, aka Paimon is really one to watch. Hailing from Ukraine, he's been busy making his mark on the neurofunk scene with some very impressive tracks comprising slick breaks and tidy beats with some of the most antisocial morphing basslines I've heard in recent years. My current favourites are 'Something a little more' and 'Dromedarius' on the 'Now I will see EP', 'Melancholy' on the 'Valentina EP' and 'Dentist' on 'The bitter side LP', which is nothing short of disgusting!

Like his king of Hell namesake, Paimon's obvious talent for spreading darkness is established, yet on the Makoto-esque 'Berry jam' we see a gentler, more organic side to his production expertise, with some gorgeous vox, slick guitar and soulful bass, proving he's no one-trick pony.

Don't hang about on this one, a new dark star is rising...
