American cellist, composer and arranger.
Born June 04, 1915 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
Died July 10, 2002 in Hudson, New York, USA.

Alan worked with the Kreiner String Quartet (1935-1938). In 1938 he founded the Stuyvesant String Quartet with his brother Sylvan Shulman (violinist) and recorded also with Buster Bailey and Maxine Sullivan.
Alan was a member of the "NBC Symphony Orchestra" under Arturo Toscanini (1937-1942).
