Canadian (Québec) books publisher and writer, born in 1915 and died on September 20, 2000 (from cancer) at the age of 85. Owner of the first secular bookstore in Quebec City, he led a heated struggle with the authorities of the Catholic Church. Founder of the Institut Littéraire Du Québec, initiator of the Salon International Du Livre De Québec, one of the pivots of the Association Des Libraires Du Québec and recipient of the Prix Fleury-Mesplet (1998), he is the author of the novel "Quelques Arpents De Neige".
