Bad Company

Profile:
UK drum & bass group including Fresh, Vegas, D-Bridge & Maldini. Formed in 1998 as Bad Company, but the name used on most releases has been "Bad Company UK" since late 2002 due to a legal battle with the classic rock band of the same name, Bad Company (3), which was formed in 1973.

For any submissions as "Bad Company UK", "BC UK", "BCUK" etc, please use this artist entry with the appropriate ANV.

Another one of my older favorites.

These guys are the creators of dancefloor crushers such as: The Nine, Planet Dust, Dogs on The Moon, Street Walker, Rush Hour, Clown Killa, Bullet Time, Nitrous, Ladies Of Spain...

Oh, and I'd like to note their remixes: Q Project's Champion Sound, Squash of Total Science, Moving Fusion's Atlantis, Apollo 440's Heart Go Boom (this one is quite unknown tho).

Anyway, I can't say much that hasn't been said - a must for anyone who is interested in Drum and Bass of the past. Because BC was the pioneer of this genre.

And, finally, it is a sad fact that the act has tons of unreleased tracks. BBC 1Xtra DJ, Bailey made a mix with some of them few weeks, or even months ago (e.g. Planet Dust VIP), I recommend it.

As with many a d&b producer/artist, BC have a plethora of unreleased tracks from around the time of the first album release that are just simply awsome. My favourite being "Rotor", absolutely gutted that this will never see the light of day, especially as all i now have of this tune is a memory.

Inside The Machine is easily my favourite d'n'b album, and i think its still better than any subsequent material by the original 4-piece.However,BCUK and Fresh seem to be doing good on their own so no complaints from me.The only tune that competes by BC outside the first album in my opinion is The Pulse, simply because there was nothing like it when it came out in '99.I would have said Planet Dust, but i don't count it as BC because even though its under the BC name,if you check the credits its just Fresh.Still a classic though,no question.

Influential, original beats, make Bad Company what they are. They are influential in many ways, including the fact that they are a group. The sound of Bad Company is a more, dark, rough beat. Very good, and recommended for any dnb fan.

What Death Metal is for Rock'n'Roll is Bad Company for Drum'n'Bass. The sound of bad company is very hard and rough. Not for D'n'B beginners.

absolutely the most important drum'n'bass act after the ed rush & optical "tech step [oh yes, forward] revolution". no any doubt about that.sometimes i think it's better to have even 5 members (unlike most electronic artist who work on their own... ;)) which makes this group really innovative and creative.

if you haven't heard )E|B( or are on the verge of checking them out, i strongly recommend you hit up their material as soon as possible. the Company are definitely one of the most innovative and influencial act in the drum and bass scene of today, and one of the best as well.
