What can I say about Accuface? Well, this guy is the mastermind behind several remarkable productions! No hard trance enthusiast has missed out on “Journey Into Sound,” “Let Your Mind Fly,” and tons of other top-notch HT cuts. There are other projects the guy has helmed such as his Hardface alter-ego (it more or less replaced Accuface), 44 Desert Eagle for moderately good hardstyle, Pete Sheppibone for average dancecore… but really it’s all about this one the Accuface project. Shame that many of his works haven’t seen the light of day a proper release would as they got locked up as exclusives on the Tunnel Trance Force series. I guess that sorta adds to the mystique and romanticism of the Accuface project.

There are other great ventures Marlon has helmed besides Accuface… one of my favorites was his demotrack for EDM Records “Under My Command.” For DJs Present (Gary D.’s label), he penned the “Masterpiece of Emotion” track under the alias Aeon. What a sublime trance tune! Today I don’t really know what he’s up to other than running labels and mastering music. Marlon has been shilling out lots of his old stuff, remastered for the umpteenth it seems…. Probably just doing what he wants because Tunnel Records is gone. As for the man himself --- some say he’s a tool while others claim he’s the greatest. Not that it really matters to me; Accuface is some of the best rave and trance music you can get your hands on. Whether it’s on Tunnel Trance Force or an old slab of black plastic, it’s gonna be good.

If Accuface is one thing, it's rave music, pure and simple. They've actually put out a large number of tracks, but most are only findable on the "Tunnel Trance Force" compilations, which is a shame as many of the best tracks were never released (read: Millenium Bug). With the forthcoming website ( promising "lots of music and infos" I can only hope that we're able to buy more than a handful of these tracks on vinyl.
