Little Brother is a hip-hop group from Durham, North Carolina, formed in the early 2000s. The group originally consisted of rapper/singer Phonte aka Phonte Coleman, rapper Big Pooh aka Thomas Jones (4), and producer 9th Wonder aka Patrick Douthit. Their debut album The Listening was released in 2003, followed by The Minstrel Show in 2005, both receiving critical acclaim for their soulful production and lyrical content. In 2007, 9th Wonder left the group, and Phonte and Big Pooh continued as a duo, releasing Getback (2007), Leftback (2010), and May the Lord Watch (2019). The group is affiliated with the Justus League collective and is known for its honest storytelling, humor, and commentary on everyday life.
