No Trend is a difficult band to categorize. They were certainty Punk in spirit but not in sound. In fact, they hated Punk and the whole subculture. Now don't think they were traditional musicians with stereotypical 1950's American values either because they weren't that too. They really didn't fit in anywhere and didn't want to be, seemingly going out of their way to do so. They lived and breathed going against the grain, and probably didn't even like the term either. Maybe that's why I have such a great respect for them. They have a small yet dedicated cult following for a damn good reason but if one dares to dive into the water that they are, you're in for the swim of your life.

also:

"Mamone and Parr are already plotting their next move: reissuing the rest of No Trend’s catalog, comprising more avant-garde, free-jazz and funk-influenced recordings like their collaboration with No Wave queen Lydia Lunch, A Dozen Dead Roses (1985), Tritonian Nash-Vegas Polyester Complex (1986) and More (1987)."

for all the freaks who enjoy the later stuff, you may be in luck...

Lineup is missing some things, mainly the Too Many Humans/Teen Love 12" people. Jack Anderson was on bass and Greg Miller on drums.

Brian Nelson (Jeff from Minor Threats brother) also played sax on Tritonian
