DJ Whoo Kid is, quite frankly, a pain in the ass.

He is one of the technically worst mixtape DJs in the whole hip hop genre and many other bad DJs have ripped their style from him. His "mixtapes" are really easy to do, which is why he seems to be releasing at least one every week. I put mixtapes in quotation marks as they contain virtually no mixing. Instead, the songs are played straight one after another, held together only by some redundant screaming and a tiny collection of samples and jingles that Whoo Kid has used on all of his tapes for years: the gunshot, the screaming woman, and of course the irritating "Whoooooo Kiiiiiid" shout.

However, all of this wouldn't be a problem if he was easy to avoid. The problem is though that 50 Cent and G-Unit selected him as their house DJ, which means that all their mixtapes are done by him. A lot of exclusive songs and freestyles by these artists can only be heard on his tapes. So if you like their music and don't want to be limited to their official releases, sadly there is no way around Whoo Kid.
