I remember The Fast from hearing the Max's Kansas City album for the first time. "Boys Will Be Boys" is a rather catchy tune, kind of pop, kind of "new wave" although when the album came out nobody had invented that "catch-all" term yet. The Fast also makes an appearance in a fairly unknown (and rightfully so) film called "Punk Rock", directed by Carter Stevens. The film is a kind of cross between a detective movie & a porno flick. Many scenes are at filmed at Max's, with several alleged "punk rock" bands. Actually, The Fast fare the best, perhaps in part because they don't stink, and the guitarist shows a healthy attitude as he showers the audience with Cheerios at the end of "Boys Will Be Boys". The band actually did exist into the early 80's and even a "best of" CD is available.
