In 2001, Dan collaborated with Richie Heller under the guise of Dirty Sole, releasing their first single EP “Skattered Jazz” on Classic Music. The record quickly achieved number five on the Muzik Magazine (UK) chart in addition to wrecking dancefloors everywhere. The duo followed up with notable releases on Yousef’s Carioca imprint in addition to Robsoul Recordings. Most recently, Dirty Sole has collaborated with New York’s jOHNNYDANGEROUs to release their debut album, entitled “Dangerous Radio”, on Fourplay Recordings.
In addition to Dirty Sole, Dan has also collaborated with Justin Long under the various “No Assembly” monikers. Together they have produced for nearly every major house label including Classic, MFF, Aroma, Robsoul, Doubledown, Cajual, Junior Boys Own, Greenskeepers Music and Justin’s .Dotbleep imprint. Their continued success brought in a highlight reel of licensing features on DJ mixes for OM Records, DJ Magazine, Ministry of Sound, Renaissance, IDJ Mag, V2 and many more.
Aside from studio accomplishments, DX has headlined countless venues across the US and around the globe. Past international gigs include: Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Glasgow, Brussels, Ghent, Paris, Toronto, Melbourne, Adelaide and Auckland.
Today, you can find Dan busy at work in the studio working on his debut solo album and remix projects for The Freaks, James Curd, Natural Rhythm and more.
