Real Name:
Mike Christensen
Washington D.C. native Mike Christensen, under the alias R3volve, is quickly building steam as part of the next generation of steam-building breakbeat & house producers. After years of classical training, intense Duck Hunt & 40oz sessions, and general lollygagging, Mike started testing the waters with several high profile bootlegs. Catching the ear of James Zabiela, Mike landed a spot on James' debut Renaissance mix album. Not long afterwards, he scored a win in a BT remix competition, which was totally sweet to the max. Building on this success, Mike's song-based melodic style has since earned praise and plays from DJs and producers worldwide, including John Digweed, Nick Warren, Sasha, Sander Kleinenberg, and Hernan Cattaneo, and his productions have been heard on radio stations around the globe. Not content to stick with one style (or use a regular 'e' in his alias, for that matter), Mike dabbles in multiple genres depending on his mood, but keeps the production quality high across the board. 2006 will not be a breakout year for him, nor will 2007-9, but Mike will continue to write new music anyways. He is currently working on kicking out more tasty jams, including a breaks EP and several remixes to be announced.

Annoyed that so little of this guys stuff is available - i cant believe for one minute he hasnt been approached by countless record labels, digital or not wanting to sign his tracks after the amount of different remixes and tracks JZ and pals have played out of his!

Where is the Imogen Heap 'Hide and Seek' remix, easily one of my fave tracks of all time, inclusive of Mike's remix, as well as BT's Somnambulist remix??

Dude, I'd kill to see Mike play a set live, or for that matter, produce more and more stuff. Heck, even finding a set of his to DL is like taking the blue pill AND the red pill at the same time, just to see what happens... the point is, that analogy totally doesn't make sense, but fuck, what if Neo did take both pills? I imagine he'd end up in the purple matrix, where you can paint and eat mashmallows with Smith all day long.

In conclusion - MIke, please produce more, cause you a talented and nubreed muhufgga, and the world needs mo of your stuff.

Even a set to DL occasionally would be rad.
