Tiger & The Helix

Tiger & The Helix

Tiger & the Helix was a Los Angeles based rock group that formed in the early nineties, fronted by Richard Gannaway, who later founded the acclaimed world music project Aomusic. The group was heavily influenced by an 80s rock sound (The Police, Stevie Ray Vaughan). Their 1994 album "Peace Face" was released on indie label Arcturian Gate, which also featured notable jazz keyboardist Jay Oliver. The band toured heavily and received a fair amount of airplay throughout Western Europe, where they are best known for the acoustic ballad "Somewhere Blue".
