Disciples Of Tonka or D.O.T. was a short-lived hardcore punk band from the Parkhof scene in Alkmaar, The Netherlands, ‘active’ in the early 90s. The band included (future) members of Pislarven, Boycot, Convulsion and C.O.T. As a matter of fact after D.O.T. and Convulsion disbanded D.O.T. drummer Billi (ex-Substral, Sunny Cottage and Dutch Courage) and guitar-player Slimmeke went on in Convulsions Of Tonka (C.O.T.) with Convulsion drummer Larf. When Billi quit C.O.T. he started Boycot (hence the name). D.O.T. bass-player Wørm started Pislarven with Sjakie aka Tesselaar on drums (well-known in Groningen with acts like Mindføk etc.), Ruudje on vocals and Bertje Doperwtje on guitar (later replaced by D.O.T. singer and Convulsion guitar-player Leus). Sjakie was later replaced by Boycot (among many other bands) drummer Lennaert. D.O.T.’s only recorded output is one track on WRF’s ‘Als Je Haar Maar Goed Zat’ LP compilation (of four tracks recorded during that same session). 'Disciples Of Tonka' is also a song by Amsterdam surf band The Anacondas, which features D.O.T.’s second singer and CKN guitar-player Ome Dirk on guitar.
