Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Ian Holden started DJing Deep-House back in 1992, until he bumped into Neil Ward (aka "Zooloo") in 1996 and decided to take music further and work on becoming a producer.
In 2002 he released his first Deep-House track on Afroboogie Recordings under the "Filtered Hues" guise. In that same year, he formed an electronica act "Devils Cartel", which gained a small following within its 5 year lifespan.
Meanwhile, he was still working beats and signed to Voodoo Vinyl under both the "Devils Cartel" and "DC" guises, releasing a few original releases but predominantly remixes with a decidedly Deep Dish prog-style feel. After 2 years and about 15 releases behind him, Ian Holden signed with Unt Records with his focus mainly on Electro- and Tech-House. His latest release "Oslo" is an Electro-House belter with Zooloo keeping the Breaks fans happy with an Electro-Breaks stomping remix.
