Peacock Ink

Profile:
"Peacock Ink" is yet another identity of Don Van Vliet, used as a 'conceptualizing ID' for works and imagery. It first appeared on Captain Beefheart & The Magic Band - Lick My Decals Off, Baby in 1970, when Vliet had embarked as a solo artist with the rotating members of The Magic Band.

The aforesaid album was rehearsed on the Warner studio lot, where the cover art 'Band image' emanated - using the lot scenery as a backdrop.
