Head Automatica

Profile:
Head Automatica is an electronic rock band formed by Glassjaw lead singer, Daryl Palumbo. Daryl teamed up with well-known producer Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura to record their debut album, Decadence. After a delayed release, Decadence was released with two new tracks recorded with the new line up Daryl needed for a live band, which included Larry Gorman (Ex-Glassjaw drummer), Jim Greer and Brandon Arnovick (The Rondo Brothers), Jarvis Morgan Holden & Craig Bonich. After the first round of touring, The Rondo Brothers left Head Automatica and was replaced by Jessie Nelson on keyboards.

At first i was not really a fan of "head automatica", or the style of music for that matter; when "decadence" was first released in 2004 i thought it was just another group of electronic rock hombres trying to score a quick buck and afterwards the band would sink. Then came the release of smash 2006 album "popaganda" which blew me away. I think compared to their first album the music was stronger, more thought had been put into it and it was generally a better album than it's predecessor. I find it a damn shame the band split and i hope the best for the guys in the future.
