Der Noir is a cold wave/pop noir band from Rome, Italy, found in June 2011.
Der Noir was born in Rome in 2011 from the will of DJ Luciano Lamanna, singer and bassist Manuele Frau and guitarist Manuel Mazzenga to form a group that recalled the darkwave atmosphere of the eighties. The first self-produced EP, the homonymous Der Noir, was released the same year, while on January 31, 2012, published on the Roman label RBL Music Italia, their first album was released, entitled A Dead Summer, with which they managed to obtain important consensus . 2012 is therefore the year of change: the video of the single Another Day becomes viral and the live activity intensifies, which takes the group out of the Italian borders arriving to perform also in Russia and to open the Roman stage of the 'All You Need Is Now Tour by Duran Duran at the Centrale del Tennis in Rome on July 18th of the same year . Furthermore, on 10 June A Dead Summer is republished in a special edition, containing a cover of the song Il Mare d'Inverno, written in 1983 by Enrico Ruggeri and brought to success by Loredana Bertè. 2013, however, is the year of the second album, entitled Numbers and Figures, released on October 3 of the same year, in which the collaboration with RBL Music Italia continues, which takes care of its publication . The disc consists of 9 tracks, two of which (the title track and Carry On) will be included in the film by Cosimo Alemà La Santa, presented at the Rome Film Festival . Numbers and Figures confirms the critical and public success of the Roman trio, obtaining numerous radio passages at various private broadcasters nationwide, in addition to live performances, which will continue throughout 2014. November 20, 2015, anticipated by the single Idea Of Love , the third work of the band will come out, entitled A Certain Idea Of Love.
