Vaggelió Margaroni was a Greek rebetiko & laïkó accordionist initially and pianist. She was Βασίλης Τσιτσάνης' pianist for 33 years. Born in 1928 in Kokkinia, Piraeus, Greece - Died 5 September 2018 in Nikea, Piraeus, Greece.
She went on stage for the first time at the age of 12, playing the accordion, in Perivolas' club in Kokkinia, Piraeus for a living. Her first acquaintance with Vassilis Tsitsanis took place in 1949, when he went to listen to her in the nightclub of Perivolas. He immediately invited her to collaborate on the recording of the song "Η Ζημιά", released in 1950 as a 78-rpm single. Since then, they never parted as collaborators until the death of the composer. It was in his orchestra that she met the violinist Loukas Karmaniolas, whom she married in 1955.
She was the daughter of the mid-war santurist, Emmanouíl Margarónis.
