Isabelle Chomet was born in Le Havre where she studied music at the Ecole Nationale. She later attended classes by such outstanding figures as Oscar Caceres, Alirio Diaz and Julian Bream, who chose her to take part in the Rencontres Internationales Musicales de Vaduz in Liechtenstein.
She was a finalist in the Andrès Segovia international competition, winner of the Finale Ligure international competition in Italy and received honours in the Maria Canals international competition in Barcelona. Since then she has been invited to numerous international festivals in France and abroad (Italy, Spain, Holland, Japan etc.) and regularly takes part in radio and television programmes.
Isabelle Chomet also has a very busy chamber music career and has given first performances of works, notably with the guitar ensemble "Guitares de France" directed by Oscar Caceres. She has already made a recording for mandala with the Bensa Guitar Trio, which includes works by Bach, Falla, Piazzola, Tamez and Bensa.
The guitar used for this recording was made by Rodolfo Camacho in Buenos Aires in 1935.
