Samedi

Profile:

Swedish synth-pop/new wave band started in Bollnäs in 1983 by Mats Kjellberg, Per Norin, Kent Jonsson and Annika Engström.

They started their own record company "Canned Music". They recorded their first single, "Between Two Hearts", in 1987. The song could be heard on radio stations all around Sweden and tried out on the hit-chart "Tracks". Samedi recorded 3 singles and the album "Doubts & Beliefs", they played live all over Sweden until 1990 when they put more effort to their recording studio.

When Annika and Kent left the band, Jimmy Lindqvist joined; they started to play locally at different clubs. After some time, Mats' brother Hans joined the band and they got more gigs. Jimmy left the band and they started to record their first single in 1987.
