Amen to that! I could not agree any more with what you've written. There's just no band that has been underrated & overlooked by rock history any more than The Music Machine, even though they've had their fair share of respect paid in hindsight by the garage rock aficionados everywhere. They should have been bigger back in the day, but i guess it's all about luck & coincidence. Now we have the music that's left and there's quite a lot. Even 'new' songs & demo tracks still being unearthed after all this time, and it's mostly all welcome & great stuff to listen to.

I had the luck to see the resurrected Music Machine band perform in a small Amsterdam club during their short 2004 European tour and met up with Sean and talked with him quite a bit after the show. I remember him as a very gentle en genuinely friendly man who was just so happy to be able to take the stage once again, and happy to talk

I for once, had never dreamed to be able to see this band at all, but it happened. I was there, it was a chance meeting, once in my lifetime. Bless you Sean, you will be remembered, your music cherished..!

The best band ever, of any sort, stripe or age.
Almost certainly the first band to detune their guitars ('65).
Songwriting, arrangement and delivery are the zenith.
Macho yet passive, vulnerable yet surly, baroque yet compact, intense yet liquid, psychedelic yet grounded, arrogant yet wise.
"Wrong" and "Astrologically Incompatible" are simply incomparable pieces of music --all the songs are-- and they recorded NOTHING BAD EVER outside of the few hit-single-cover-versions coerced by management.
EMPATHIC YET MEAN, we must salute The Glove.
R.I.P. the incredible soul of Sean Bonniwell whose blessed holyness had I the honor of confirming in person, over lunch in the "dive town" Porterville.
Ron Edgar's conscious and adept beat-writing is of a pedigree most fine, blessed is he.
It is the rarest of occasions when one encounters a songwriter and ensemble of this musical excellence, and rarer still that they look this cool.
