Profile: | Marco Aurélio Vasconcellos (Santa Maria, November 23, 1939) is a Brazilian singer and composer of regional music from Rio Grande do Sul. In 1957, as a birthday present, he received a Del Vecchio guitar from his father. He would participate in music festivals in the following decade, when he competed in two editions of the Festival Sul-Brasileiro da Canção. On the first occasion with the composition "Tropeiro", performed by Trio Maiagô, and, on the second with "No Balanço do Parque", composed in partnership with José Carlos Oliveira and which was defended by the singer Sabino Loguércio.
