Milk Inc.

Real Name:
milk inc
Profile:
"Milk INCORPORATED" was a studio-project from 1995-1998 of 3 young Belgian producers: Regi Penxten, Filip Vandueren and Ivo Donckers, with the real vocals by Karine boelaerts. All 3 were already active in the house-scene in Belgium under various names and as remixers for different projects.

"Milk INCORPORATED"
- 1995: their 1st single "Cream".
- 1996: their 2nd single "La Vache".
- 1997: "La Vache", their 2nd single got a vocal edit by Praga Khan (feat Jade4U). The vocals were done by Nikkie Van Lierop (a.k.a. Jade4U).
- 1997: Regi has to be too fast too quickly search for a new stage act 'cause Jade4U was busy with Praga Khan when they got successful in United States of America (USA).
- 1998: he found as a temporary last minute solution for "Milk Incorporated/La Vache" by model Sofie Winters for the new frontstage girl, but it was for Sofie & Regi too difficult workin' between each other, so she leave the group after "Free your Mind" (the tune itself was international not so successful).
"Milk INCORPORATED"/"La Vache"
- 1998: "La Vache" was a huge hit (also in France) & for that reason they known for a short while "La Vache" in France (only at all the France releases of the 3rd single "Free your Mind", the 4th single "Inside of me" & 1st album "Apocalyps Cow").
- 1998: he found Ann Vervoort as the new frontstage girl (it was nice working between Ann & himself) & Karine Boelaerts as the real lead vocals of "Milk INCORPORATED/La Vache" (also the real lead vocals of Maurizzio, 2Fabiola...).

"Milk INC.":
- 1999: Ivo Donckers left the team and the group without him as shortend to "Milk INC." & Karine Boelaerts was the real lead vocals of "Milk INC." with Ann Vervoort as the frontstage girl.
- 2000: Ann Vervoort would leave "Milk INC." (earlier announced) at Fri.,Sep. 15th. founds Regi afterwards in 2000 Linda Mertens as the real new lead vocals and the new frontstage girl of "Milk INC.".

"milk inc":
- 2008: the group changed to "milk inc" (with only fully lowercase & without any dots) & Linda Mertens is the real lead vocals and the frontstage act of "milk inc" ('till present).

"sad news":
- 1996: Linda Mertens' Brother died at a car accident at the mornig of Sun., Apr. 11th.
- 1998: Sofie Winters was only the stage act for the 3rd single "Free your Mind". The single has no much succes (not 'cause of Sofie, but the single in itself).
- 2010: Ann Vervoort died at the age of 33 on Tue., Apr. 22th.
- 2017: Linda Mertens' baby (she had from/with her ex) named Lio (°Sat., Nov. 15th, '14-†Tue., Apr. 11th, '17) died on cancer at the age of 2.5 on Tue., Apr. 11th.

I have just added the new album - Forever. I hope the web will be updated soon - the album was released 2 months ago (already).
I love their songs and I wonder why only few people relatively know them. Linda is a great singer and the effects that used during the songs are cool!
The songs are full of energy, energy, energy and the new cover to "maniac" is really refreshing!
I hope they will continue their work and provide more and more and more songs, which are exactly to my taste and favorites!

Milk Inc was and is one of the most famous dance projects. Together with Sylver, Lasgo, Noemi, Foggi and so.. they introduced a new genre inside dance/trance music. The music is kind of cheezy, and many likes to put all these artist under "cheezy music".

Milk Inc's most famous tunes are Never Again, Land of the Living, Livin a Lie, Walk on Water and Promise, that all has been listed high on music top lists.

I will rank Saxy-Motion and La Vache as maybe Milk Inc's best songs, these songs aren't actually cheezy but more like real trance. Saxy-Motion is a very nice tune, a speeded jazz song with some great songs. Maybe Milk Inc's best and most underrated song.

The other comment here states that Belgium shouldnt be proud of this music. This is not trance, but euro dance or euro trance, or whatever you would like to call it. But then again, the usual "arguments" come saying a child could have made this music. That's stupid.

To sum up i think Milk Inc deserves the recogniztion and status they have got. They have made great dance songs and should be listed as one of the best dance projects in modern music.

Back in the days, Belgium was famous for it 's innovating sounds in the techno and new beat scene, with R&S as most important label, even on a world scale. This was a real honour I guess. Milk Inc. is also Belgian, but it isn't something to be very proud of, I'm afraid. To my opinion, their music is very easy to make, even a child could sit back after his pc, and with the easiest music producing software, it can make these cheesy poppy sounds. I'm a bit ashamed when I hear this stuff. I'm glad that people who know what they 're talking about, do not take this genre for real. This kind of 'music' could never have been the intention of the Belleville Three, when they started experimenting to innovate techno 15 years ago...
On the other hand, it's an evolution from underground to mainstream, and that is something no one could withdraw...
