There was once a time when Queensryche was a PERFECT BALANCE of talents. Geoff Tate and his HISTORICAL voice; Chris DeGarmo and Michael Wilton as masters of twins guitars and MUSICAL compositions; Rockenfield and Jackson (also Wilton) who's give BALLS and GOD TASTE to the overall music.
Queensryche whithout ANY of his talents is an absolutely forgettable bunch of musicians.

Waited til now to listen to The Verdict and the verdict is they are a cover band on themselves, there are better Tribute bands, yes with balls and good taste...only thing the kid below got out of your text...a typo

Tate & DeGarmo are forever Queensrÿche, they should start a band (again)...

Q RIP 2011.

Well said but just as when Metallica got drunk of success and alcohol all through the nineties people buy it and like it, music fans are strange, at least Tate keeps a tradition of quality although they backed off from metal which was a downer in the nineties like all bands, but hopefully there's a comeback and reunion, it's a bit tragic Wilton don't get it that the masterminds behind Operation (the record) was Tate & DeGarmo and not him, I think his ego is in the way of a reunion since he always played the 2nd fiddle and therefore I always seen him as the problem in this thing with the genius Tate, prefer DeGarmo as the only guitarist in that case since it seems to be Jackson/Wilton and DeGarmo/Tate always in that band making songs, very rarely the whole group

I also think it might lie with the drummer who once had a great sound along Tate in Q and who once were one of my favorite drummers and made me step up my game (being one too) just like Lars Ulrich, but seeing interviews, some are not very likeable in their private life, few are, Neil Peart is one who always been a fav and good people

Be well,

Their HM days were up to Empire only, these last releases (anything without Tate doesn't count in my world since he is the Q sound) are in the line of a heavier U2

Gin and Tonic needs both G & T which in this case means Geoff Tate which I always since the first EP considered metals #1 singer

Hoping for a reunion also with DeGarmo since he was the one behind the best songs with GT which one of the good songs on Dedicated to Chaos might describe "Big Noize"
the last song on that album and the hitherto last Q song, a band with an original lineup surviving for many years... Well all - DeGarmo, might again be + DeGarmo&Tate once more

Yeah but that has nothing to do with the original band, (and the modern Q even less to do with the original members and recordings and why I was one of the first in Scandinavia that collected Q vinyl back in the day), it's just like Ian Gillan Band, nothing close to Deep Purple...for me Q will always be Tate & DeGarmo

Be well,

You have a band called Operation Mindcrime where Geoff Tate is the "Chief Songwriter". Enjoy the magic.
