Australian jazz musician, who started as a trumpet player, then switched to trombone before ending up as a pianist. Born on November 22, 1921 in Hobart, Tasmania. Died on November 8, 2012 in Hobart. In UK playing with Mick Mulligan's Jazz Band and others 1950-1955. When returned to Australian formed Pearce-Pickering Ragtime Five & Barrelhouse Jazz Band.
