In this modern age of Avicii, Swedish House Mafia and numerous Deadmau5 clones, it's comforting to know some producers still try to put a bit of personality into their work. With many producers, they have a style they were known for back in the day. Then, after crossing the 2008 commercial dance threshold (cursewords withheld), they pretty much sell out to it.
Olav's different. Though his current style may fit in well with the modern generation of Electro/Dubstep-inspired music, he retains the distinctively funky elements from the early days. You can really hear it in tracks like "New Day", "Puerto Rico" and even "The Rain" from last year. One of the few artists whom I don't mind hearing new stuff from (the same, unfortunately, can't be said for most other 'talents').
