Nailbomb was the industrial/trash metal collaboration of Max Cavalera of Sepultura
and Alex Newport of Fudge Tunnel
, it was a short-lived project as the group only released a studio album "Point Blank"
in 1994, did only two live shows, one at a small venue called Club Dinamo and their last concert at the '95 Dynamo Open Air Festival
, which was later released that same year as "Proud To Commit Commercial Suicide"
, with two additional new studio tracks, the backing band for that show included Dave Edwardson
on bass, Rhys Fulber
of Front Line Assembly
on keys and sampler, and a rotating cast a drummers consisting of Igor Cavalera
, Barry Schneider
of Tribe After Tribe
and D.H. Peligro
of the Dead Kennedys
. The project ended that year as Alex had no interest in recording a new album nor touring.
Max Cavalera has since 2017 done a few tours performing "Point Blank"
in it's entirety with its main project Soulfly
, having his son Igor Jr.
doing the vocal parts of Newport as well as playing keys and samples.
