Punky Gibbon trashes this band as "boringly predictable and crappy Chaos Punk band who typified the Riot City sound".. But their releases are some of the most brilliant "UK82" music ever put to vinyl. I suppose if you hate the "Riot City sound" (Riot City being arguably the best punk label of that era), you aren't going to like this record. But.. for those of us who love UK82 punk, this is fantastic stuff. The mix and overall production on these records is fantastic as well.

Perhaps if your tastes run more along the lines of the slower songs performed by the Anal Fleas, these records are not for you. But if you are a fan of bands like The Ejected or The Partisans, then I very much doubt you will be disappointed in The Undead.
