Tyrolean folklore and dance ("Plattler") group founded in 1949 by brothers Josef, Hans and Sebastian Hauser along with Engelbert Köck and Otto Hechenberger.
Taking on additional members in the form of yodelling girls, the group's membership and popularity increased steadily over the years, with Hans Hauser assuming leadership duties (until 2005 when the reigns were handed over to Sebastian Hauser junior). Their first recording was released in 1974 and they have performed all over Europe and as far afield as the USA and Australia.
Based in St. Johann, Austria, membership has since ballooned to some 85 (including a children's group), with Hans Hauser junior as the musical leader.
