Edge Of Etiquette

Edge Of Etiquette

Profile:
Fake hardcore punk band created solely for the film "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home", recorded in studio during the recording of the film's score. During the scene in which Kirk and Spock are sitting opposite a punk with a mohawk while riding the city bus, a song called "I Hate You" is playing on a boombox. The punk is played by one of the film's associate producers, Kirk Thatcher, who also wrote the lyrics to the song. The fake hardcore group Edge Of Etiquette only existed for a day and a half in the studio. The song also appeared in the 1987 Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello movie "Back to the Beach". The song "I Hate You" was unavailable to purchase until it was included as a bonus track on the soundtrack's reissue in 2012.

It's pretty damn cute that this was made just for the movie, really.
