Who ever thought a video game soundtrack would help you discover what your favorite band would be?
In 2005 a game called Steel Lancer Arena International was released for the PS2 and I picked a copy. For those unaware of this game it contained 3 songs by Zebrahead on it: Rescue Me, Falling Apart and Are You For Real?.
A couple years later I had dusted off my copy of the game and then remembered said tracks being on it. That's when I picked up my first Zebrahead CD, Zebrahead - MFZB. (To this day that is probably the most played album in my collection of which there are 4 different colored covers and a japan version which contains 3 extra tracks.) This CD is what started it all for me. Now digitally I own everything Zebrahead has ever released from DVD audio-rips, to everything you see on here and then some, as for the physical format, the collection is never complete.

Personally my favorite era of Zebrahead will always be the 1996-2005 era with Justin on vocals. In my opinion that era never released a track that I felt was bad or sub-par. As for the Matty era 2006- It's not bad but there are some albums that I feel weren't done as great as they could've been. They changed their style with the change of vocalist with some hits and some misses. Matty's bests were Zebrahead - Broadcast To The World and Zebrahead - Call Your Friends (both of which Japan, like with most releases, has bonus tracks for). Zebrahead - Broadcast To The World showed that even though Justin was no longer a part of the band and left to start I Hate Kate (later renamed to Darling Thieves) that Zebrahead was still worth keeping an eye on. Even though for the next few albums I'd say it was just tracks here & there are worth listenng to Zebrahead - Call Your Friends made me glad I stook around. Zebrahead - Call Your Friends being a throwback to Zebrahead - MFZB showed that Matty is just as capable of releasing solid material like Justin, with what could be considered the best album Zebrahead has released since Zebrahead - MFZB.

Overall if you are considering picking up a Zebrahead album I would start be going through some of the videos that are up on youtube to see which era you enjoy. If you like the early stuff or Justin's era, Zebrahead - MFZB then Zebrahead - Waste Of MFZB is what I'd recommend starting with. If you like the newer stuff or Matty's era, Zebrahead - Broadcast To The World then Zebrahead - Call Your Friends is what I'd recommend starting with.
