Profile: | Infectious Grooves were formed in 1989. The first breakthrough of Infectious Grooves is in the early 1990s. Infectious Grooves is a semi-humorous funk metal "supergroup" originally featuring Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir, bassist Robert Trujillo (now with Metallica), and guitarist Dean Pleasants, with ex-Jane's Addiction drummer Stephen Perkins, Excel (3) guitarist Adam Siegel, and keyboardist Dave Dunn. Their first album, "The Plague That Makes Your Booty Move…It's the Infectious Grooves", featuring a load of guests including Ozzy Osbourne, was released in 1991 at the height of the popularity of funk metal. |
