Fantastic and super talented synth-pop music duo from the UK
With a well stablished and big loyal fan base ERASURE has been making records and playing alive around the world until nowadays.
Andy (the frontman) with his flamboyant personality on stage and the so British personality Vince Clarke (keyboards) are the two faces of ERASURE.
ERASURE is now 30 years old and we (the fans) are celebrating that in a very dedicated and exciting way.

Although Erasure had some good tracks on 'Wild!'(1989) and 'Chorus'(1991), plus a good single in 'Always'(1994), their best three albums were their first. 'The Innocents'(1988) was the best of the bunch, containing some great singles and, more importantly, superb album tracks. It was a proper album, with a similar style throughout and no fillers.
As Erasure's music has never seen the light of day outside of Vince Clarke's computer hard drive, unsurprisingly, the 2011 remasters of 'Wonderland' and 'The Circus' offer little in the way of sound improvement. 'The Innocents'' 2009 remaster, however, is worth acquiring as the original recordings were considerably quieter than the rest of their catalogue.
So, outside of their first five albums I only recommend 'Always' [7" Mix]. But also, Erasure's best songs often had even better extended versions or remixes, so their singles box set [EBX1-4] is essential too. 'The Two Ring Circus'(1987), which is not a studio album, was also the only place you could find the Little Louie Vega mix of 'Hideaway' - one of their very best tracks - and the best mix of 'Sometimes' - Erasure And Flood Mix.
