Jon Marshall Smith

Producer, keyboardist, recording, mixing and mastering engineer, currently residing in North Carolina, USA.

Smith was born in Greenville, North Carolina, and grew up in Washington D.C., where he played keyboards in local bands. At age 21 he moved to Orlando, Florida, to attend Full Sail University. For two years he ran Powerhouse Studios, and also worked at David Schweizer's Richter Studios and Full Sail's A Room. He kept on working for Orlando-based groups even after his move to New York City in 1995. In New York he worked at least at Baby Monster Studios, and founded his own mastering venture, JMS Mastering.

Well-known names that he has worked with include Joey Ramone, Richard Buckner, Ronnie Spector and Speedealer.
