After the separation of his parents, Benjamin lived with his mother in the Netherlands until he was 16 years old. He tried his hand at various jobs, like as a dishwasher and a waiter, to keep himself over the water. But that did not satisfy him. He then studied Graphic-Design in Canada. Benjamin realized that his strengths lie in creativity. With the new goal in mind to be an actor Benjamin went to the United States. But returned back to the Netherlands. There, first minor roles in TV commercials and films followed.
In 1992 during an audition he was discovered by Frank Krom and without further ado he was invited to a Boyband casting. Manager Cees van Leeuwen was convinced of his talent and instantly took him into the band "Caught in the Act" (CITA). Between 1995 and 1998, CITA published a number of top ten hits and sold more than 20 million records.
The result: several gold and platinum records. On August 16, 1998 the band separated, much to the chagrin of their big fan base.
But Benjamin - who now decided to move to Cologne – celebrated solo musical successes with his singles "Change" and "10,000 Light Years". On October 12, 2007 his daughter Natalia Sofi Louis Boyce was born. "Some things had to change and I took a break for my daughter," said the proud father.
