Hola la Poyana!
bassist and singer, his folk and blues attitude slowly started to develop and he decided to create, together with a couple
of new songs, a new project with the nickname of "Hola la Poyana", followed by a fake psychedelic Bio with "La Poyana" as a protagonist.
Hola la Poyana! main purpose is the research of intensity, especially in his live sessions, through the use of only a few
essential instruments. This project was in fact designed to consist of nothing but voice, acoustic guitar and a stomp box
(a small wooden box that, placed under the foot and tapped, produces a sound similar to a bass drum), combined with lyrics that are a mix between irony and melancholy.
HLP! has shared the stage with Geoff Farina (Karate), Alessandro Fiori (Mariposa), The Blues Against Youth, Bungalow 62,
The Cyborgs, The Mojomatics, Nobraino, The Intellectuals and many others.
His main influences of are the blues of Skip James and Mississippi Fred McDowell, the country ballads of Neil Young,
the instrumental folk of John Fahey and finally some more distinctly 90's digressions.
In March 2012 he published his first work, a self-produced five-track EP entitled "Lazy Music for Dry Skins", which was
immediately followed by an extensive tour across Italy.
