Powermad were one of the early American thrash metal bands. With a style similar to early Metallica they released an EP was part of the Combat Records' bootcamp series in 1987 before signing a deal with Reprise Records (subdivision of major label Warner Bros).

I've also seen them in "Wild At Heart". Peculiar choice yes, but a peculiar director as well! I thought these guys were from the U.K., though?! Britain to be more precise... Anyone?

What a shame these guys only recorded one studio album originally. Has anyone seen them in David Lynch's "Wild At Heart"? Peculiar choice is an understatement, huh? The cult classic film (movie) was released in 1990. Be sure to pick up 1989's "Absolute Power", even if you're not a big speed or thrash metal fan. You won't be disappointed.
