Fastbacks
Profile: | American punk rock band from Seattle, Washington. Formed in 1979 by songwriter/guitarist Kurt Bloch, guitarist/vocalist Lulu Gargiulo, and bassist/vocalist Kim Warnick, the core trio were supported by an estimated 10-12 different drummers, including Duff McKagan, Mike Musburger, and Richard Stuverud, until their 2001 breakup. The band reunited for a one-off live performance on July 8, 2011, at the West Seattle Summer Music Festival, and again in September 2018 for a benefit concert in aid of fellow Seattle musician Andrew McKeag. Following a series of archival releases, the Fastbacks released the new single "A Quiet Night" in February 2023, which was followed by a new studio album in September 2024. |
