Dutch trombonist and euphonium player, born June 14, 1950 in Haarlem, Noord-Holland. Son of Cor van Lier (2) and younger brother of Erik Van Lier.

Bart has been teaching trombone at the Jazz-Light Music Department of the Conservatory Hilversum since 1980 and since September 1998 at the Jazz-Light Music Department of the Rotterdam Conservatory of Music.
