Dokken are one of the more underrated bands from the glam metal scene. Unlike most bands of the genre that were more like pretty boy pop rock groups that didn't sound "metal" in the slightest, Dokken had an edge to them, while still sounding accessible. There are obvious influences of bands like the melodic vocal harmonies of Queen ("Into the Fire", "Dream Warriors", "Slippin' Away") and the intense speed metal of Motörhead ("Tooth and Nail", "Til the Livin' End"). Good band and it's a shame many people glance over 'em just because of their association with glam metal.
