Leif Eie born in Flekkefjord, Norway. At the age of 17 he played in an orchestra for dance and entertainment. He spent two years in the Norwegian Air Force as an Educational Advisor. Before leaving the Air Force, he had signed up for one year at one of the Nowegian theatres. The following year, his career as an entertainer expanded to include appearances in the Norwegian Broadcasting and Variety Shows in Norway. While serving in the US Army he received eight (8) decorations one "With Distinction"; graduated as the Honor Student in the Non-Commissioned Officer School; and was chosen to get the highest Civil decoration "The American Spirit Honor Medal." By this time, he had taught himself to play the accordion and entertained and played for the soldiers in the United States and abroad.
