DJ Tó Ricciardi

Tó Ricciardi boasts an impressive record having recorded and produced numerous tracks for both Portuguese and non-Portuguese artists. Working as a DJ and a producer, his career started in 1991 when he opened a studio in Lisbon after spending a period in London studying audio engineering. Free Your Mind was re leased in 1994 and was his first track for the Kaos dance label. It turned out that Tribal America liked his style and in 1996 this American label released Don't Wait For Me. In the meantime, Tó Ricciardi produced a hip-hop track for Black Company as well as remixed (in collaboration with Rui Vargas) a track for the high-profile Portuguese band Cool Hipnoise. Other collaborations include the track Erotic Sardines together with Terence McKenna for the Lupeca record label.

In 1999 he founded Nylon Discographics together with André Roquette and Pedro Passos. Since then the label has been going from strength to strength having released a number of successful tracks such as Shelter Av. produced in collaboration with Miguel Guia and Orlando Santos. Muzik magazine featured this track has Vital Release and since then it has been included in a number of compilations such as OM-Lounge 4 and Showcase #1. Recently Tó Ricciardi remixed various tracks for the Portuguese bands Balla and Coldfinger and is currently working on more tracks for Shelter Av. and Austria's Tosca (Dorfmeister and R. Hupert) for the G-Stone record label.

As a DJ, Tó Ricciardi has been a resident in some of the best clubs in Portugal, including Plateau, Pacha (Ofir), Indústria and Alcântara-Mar. He has also played abroad in Palma de Mallorca (La Boite), Madrid (Kapital) and Paris (Club Europa).
