Born in 1947, Lawrence (Larry) Livermore is an American musician, music producer and music journalist best known for co-founding influential punk label Lookout! Records
with his friend David Hayes
. Prior to the creation of Lookout!, Larry was running the Lookout! fanzine and fronting Californian punk band The Lookouts
which also included the drumming talents of a young Tre Cool
from Green Day
Between 1987 and 1994, he was a columnist for punk magazine Maximum Rocknroll, and from 1994 to 2007 wrote a monthly column for Punk Planet magazine.
Larry continued to run Lookout! Records until his retirement in 1997 when he signed ownership over to Chris Appelgren.
