Timothy Howard (b. 1955) is an American organist, educator, conductor, and arranger. Dr. Howard is a Lecturer of Organ, Music Theory and Music Technology at California State University, Northridge (since 2000) and a Director of Music at Pasadena Presbyterian Church (since 2009).

Howard began playing the piano at three years old and has continually studied the organ since five. In 1977, he graduated from the Biola University with a Bachelor's degree in Music and Organ Performance, followed by a Master's from Westminster Choir College in 1978. Timothy Howard attended the University Of Southern California from 1987 till 1994, earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree, with honors. His principal teachers included Ladd Thomas, George Markey and Richard Unfried (organ), Rayner Brown and Barry Liesch (music theory), and Rodney Eichenberger with Wilhelm Ehmann (conducting).

As a concert organist and soloist, Timothy Howard has appeared with numerous prominent orchestras and choirs, including The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, The Los Angeles Children's Chorus, Los Angeles Master Chorale, the choir of Long Beach City College, and with Paul Halley in one of the composer's live performances. He accompanied the Hollywood Presbyterian Church Choir on their UK tour, with performances at York Minster, Lincoln Cathedral, Durham Cathedral, and the cathedral of Edinburgh.

In 2016, Howard gave the West Coast premiere of Robert Sirota's Apparitions for organ and string quartet. He also participated in The American Guild Of Organists's marathon presentation of the complete Organ Symphonies of Charles-Marie Widor (playing the monumental Symphony VIII) and César Franck's complete major organ works. He has been organ soloist for Howard Hanson's Concerto for Organ, Harp and Strings and Leo Sowerby's Classic Concerto for organ and strings.

As an arranger and performing collaborator, Timothy Howard appeared on Christopher Parkening's Sacred Music For The Guitar (Angel Records). He also provided string and wind arrangements on Brian Reeves (2) - Never Looking Back (Briro Records). For two seasons, Howard arranged and led the recording of choral music for the HBO series Big Love. He also composed organ scores for several prominent silent films, including Nosferatu (1922), From the Manger to the Cross (1912), and Vie et Passion du Christ (1903).
