Adam X

DJ, producer and label owner of Sonic Groove, Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1971. Based in Berlin, Germany since 2007.

Adam's music career started in 1990. Along with his brother Frankie Bones  they started the “Groove Records” record shop in Brooklyn, NYC opening doors in 1990, specializing in techno music. The brother's went on to organize the first techno events to ever take place in NYC, including Storm Rave which began in 1991. Storm Rave was the first all-techno warehouse parties organized on the East Coast of America. The lineup included many artists who would go on to become global techno popular figures.

In January, 1995 Adam , Frankie along with new partner Heather Heart moved shop into Manhattan, NYC and re-named it as “Sonic Groove” Within a few months, Adam started up the label Sonic Groove. The shop shuttered it's door in 2004 after suffering heavily from the effects of 9-11-2001. Though the shop has been closed for many years now, Sonic Groove as a label has been actively releasing new music on vinyl the entire time.

Adam is also still active with music production with recent releases on Tresor , L.I.E.S. & on his own imprint
