Jeremy Conlon sound engineer, musician, and composer, who has had over 30 years experience in many facets of the music industry, and more recently the film industry. He is based in Mparntwe, Alice Springs, and has been involved in the NT music scene since 2003, first based in Darwin then Central Australia.
Jeremy performs under his own electronic name Cooperblack, as well as Cloud Sequence with artist Saar Amptmeijer and as bass player for Stellar Sea.
As a guitarist with Adelaide band The Violets, Jeremy toured Australian and performed at several Big Day Out festivals, received national airplay on tripleJ, and supported many Australian and International artist on stage.
As a music producer and sound engineer Jeremy has worked on the ARIA award winning albums “Gurrumul” (credit – additional recordings) and “Rrakala” (credit – assistant engineer, New York City Avatar Studio) by Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu (Skinnyfish Music), “Muyngarnbi – Walking With Spirits” (credit – sound engineer) – featuring Tom E Lewis and Ross Hannaford (Daddy Cool), Nabarlek – ‘Manmoyi Radio” (sound/mix engineer – Skinnyfish Music), ‘Tjamuku Ngurra’ – Tjintu Desert Band (credit – producer CAAMA), KND album ‘MUZIK IZ 4EVA” (credit – producer CAAMA Music) and has had the great privilege to recorded many traditional and contemporary songs from indigenous and non indigenous musicians throughout Australia.
He has recorded in many diverse environments, from world class studios, burnt workers huts in Arnhem Land and fireside bush sessions, utilising vibrant and creatively inspiring places to capture unique sound.
