John Hore Grenell

NZ country singer born Ranfurly 19 July 1944. Hugely popular in the 1960s and 1970s selling hundreds of thousands of records in NZ.

Originally performing as John Hore he changed his name to John Hore Grenell and then just John Grenell.

His first two names were famously taken by the US singer John Denver.

Father of Oakley Grenell, Denver Grenell, Amiria Grenell and Redford Grenell.

Passed away 28 July 2022.
