Kalaparusha Maurice McIntyre (born March 24, 1936 in Clarksville, Arkansas; d. November 9, 2013) is an American free jazz tenor saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. He became a member of the collective Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians (AACM) in the mid-1960s. After his 1981 live album, McIntyre recorded very little, playing on the streets and in the subways of New York.
