English clarinetist, baritone saxophone player and arranger, born 14 June 1907 in London, England, died 24 May 1973 in Chertsey, England.
From 1930 he wrote arrangements for Bert Ambrose's orchestra, joining as a musician 1933-1937. After World War II wrote several classical works for the BBC symphony orchestra as well as leading his own dixieland band.
