Born in 1977 by a Senegalese father and a French mother and painter, she made the choice of an artistic career and graduated in 1999 from the Académie Charpentier, visual arts category.
She then worked for seven years in the music industry, then started in the field of photography. Returning to a part of her origins, she settled in Saint-Louis-du-Senegal, where her father was born. She creates a photographic studio and begins by photographing the members of her family and realizing a series called "Renaissance". The studio is baptized Magic, discreet tribute to the Malian photographer Malick Sidibé, whose influence it affirms on his first works, and his famous studio Malick.
In 2008, she moved again and moved to New York. She meets Peter Beard. Interested in his creativity, this one proposes to him to collaborate for the realization of the Pirelli calendar in Botswana.
In 2012, she is mentioned as one of the 26 best emerging photographers of the ICP, and by the Smithsonian Magazine as one of the emerging stars of photography, and in 2013, by PDN, as one of 30 new photographers and emerging markets to be monitored.
